Last week saw CSI Lifecycle Services exhibit at Data Centre World 2013 at the ExCeL in London’s Docklands.
The event was targeted at helping data centre managers and professionals plan, implement and manage their existing and future data centre requirements. Record numbers turned out for the annual exhibition and conference which made for a very busy week for the CSI LCS staff who worked on our stand.
Over the course of the two days our staff encountered a wide variety of people working within the data centre sector, including those who run and supply to data centres. A recurring theme in our many discussions with visitors to the stand was just how seriously the issue of data security is treated. At a time when stories about data breaches are rife in the press, it was heartening to see a community determined to learn from the mistakes of others and treat security as a priority.
Our onsite shredding service was a particularly popular point of interest to visitors at our stand. The 6mm shred fragments caught the eye of many passers-by, while concerns over data leaving an organisation’s premises was cited as a key reason for demonstrating interest in this service. Additionally, our soon-to-be-launched disk array wiping service, aimed specifically at data centres drew wide interest.
Show attendees also showed they have a sweet tooth, with our CSI-branded Blackpool rock being a heavily in-demand giveaway. CSI-branded pens and DVDs containing our literature were also taken in their droves by visitors to our stand.
All in all, it was a very productive week for CSI LCS and should prove another building block in our future success. Thanks to all who visited our stand during the two days and we hope to see you at another exhibition soon!
