Data Destruction Project

DDRV Completes First Job on the Continent

Following the successful launch of the new DDRV (Data Destruction Recycling Vehicle), CSI Lifecycle Services recently carried out its first European hard drive shredding job.

The trip involved a journey from our Sheffield base to Germany – as well as providing a nationwide service in the UK, the DDRV can be deployed in most European countries too.

The first overseas visit involved a journey on the Euro Tunnel, with pictures of the DDRV boarding the train displayed below.

After passing through France and Belgium, the DDRV hit the German autobahns as it motored its way to the customer’s site to perform the secure data destruction service.

After arriving onsite, our DDRV parked up and was ready to go using the power from its in-built generator to run the two shredding machines.

After securely shredding hundreds of hard drives and eliminating the risk of sensitive customer information falling into the wrong hands, the DDRV was ready to head for home with another customer satisfied.
